About Michael Chazen

Mr. Chazen graduated from New York University with honors in 1984.  He then worked with the Dean of the Faculty at NYU as a special assistant.  He went to Albany Law School where he served as Associate Editor of the Albany Law Review, graduating in 1988.  He was employed with a large law firm before opening his own office in 1991.  His office has been at the same location for the last 18 years.  He practices primarily in the area of criminal defense law.  He has a mix of street smarts, academic achievement, and extensive practical experience.  Since his first year in high school and throughout college and law school, he has worked different jobs to help support himself.  He has compassion for all people and is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.  Many of the cases he handles are referred by other attorneys who do not practice criminal law or for the purpose of handling the jury trial.  He is married for 19 years with two children. His interests include car racing and distance running.
